Is this an investment into new talent and new technology? You bet. But more importantly, it’s an investment in expanding your ability to market your organization’s healthcare services to consumers while protecting their privacy.
We’re so glad to have you on this journey with us and we can’t wait to share many more milestones ahead. Before I get too sentimental, let’s get into some product updates, webinar announcements, and other cool stuff going on here at Freshpaint HQ.
Product Update
Healthcare organizations often work with agencies and contractors that should have limited access to the actions they take within Freshpaint and the data they have access to—especially PHI.
With Freshpaint’s Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), you decide who has access to which projects and environments and what permissions they have, ensuring your team structure aligns with your data governance strategy.
Our previous version of RBAC had two roles: Admin and User. Now, RBAC includes two new roles catered to agency partners and contractors.
Interested in trying RBAC? Just reply to this email and we’ll take it from there.

Speaking of data privacy, we’ve stressed how the AHA ruling isn’t an excuse for healthcare organizations to throw caution to the wind. But we’re not the only ones who share that sentiment. The Polsinelli law firm recently shared a reminder that this narrow ruling shouldn’t diminish due diligence around the protection of sensitive information.
“The ruling does not address similar state law requirements, or the requirements of other federal law, such as the Video Privacy Protection Act or wiretapping statutes.” they wrote. “State Attorneys General and plaintiff class action lawyers, coupled with further efforts by HHS, the Federal Trade Commission and potentially other state and federal regulatory agencies, will continue to make this a priority area for compliance.”
