I have (potentially) bad news: National Ice Cream Day was this past Sunday. If you're just learning this now, I'm sorry you missed it. Truly.
But I also have very good news: July is National Ice Cream Month. Yeah...an entire month dedicated to everyone's favorite summer treat, officially designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1984.
Yes, 1984. Which means we've been living with 41 years of federally endorsed ice cream celebrations...and somehow Big Ice Cream still hasn’t figured out how to promote it better. You'd think Ben and Jerry would’ve gotten the word out by now.
Anyway, while I can't give you a scoop through the screen, I am giving you an order to take your family out for ice cream before the end of the month.
