The Freshpaint team spent the week in Phoenix (okay, actually Scottsdale) for a company off-site. I'm not built for the desert heat (105° every day), but I love these trips because they're a time to connect with coworkers, find out who is the best at karaoke (shout out to Junior Coca), and talk about the future of Freshpaint.
And let me just tell you, the future is bright for healthcare marketers. That's probably not a statement you're used to hearing, but we have some really Big Ideas on the roadmap that will help all of you navigate the complex world of healthcare marketing.
I really want to dish out all the news right now, but then our product and eng teams might get a little mad at me. So I'll just say: stay tuned to this newsletter in the coming months for all of the changes. In the meantime, here's what I've got for you this week...

Product Update: Freshpaint + Podscribe
🚨 New Integration Alert 🚨
For years, healthcare marketers have avoided podcast and streaming audio ads. Not because of lack of interest, but because attribution was either a compliance nightmare or a vanity-metric black hole.
Freshpaint and Podscribe are changing that.
Freshpaint runs server-side, stripping healthcare context before data ever leaves your environment, so PHI stays safe.
Podscribe unifies attribution into one AI-powered dashboard.
The result? Healthcare marketers finally get proof that audio drives outcomes—with compliance guardrails in place.

Fresh Content: Constraints
Shrinking budgets. Rising expectations. And legal breathing down your neck. Sound familiar?
Two senior healthcare leaders, Providence'sAlan Shoebridge and Renown Health's Suzanne Hendery, shared how they’re navigating today’s constraints. Their advice boils down to six practical moves:
Anticipate cuts before they come. Build a “cut list” now so you can defend your team’s most impactful work.
Make scarcity your spark. Repurpose staff skills, bring creative work in-house, and trim nice-to-haves first.
Lead with transparency. No last-minute surprises—engage your team early and solve challenges together.
Speak ROI, not impressions. Tie marketing directly to board-level metrics like patient appointments and surgical volume.
Bust silos. Partner with HR, PR, IT—let other departments carry marketing’s banner when budgets are tight.
Treat AI like an intern. Great for drafts and ideas, but human oversight keeps work accurate and authentic.
The bottom line: Constraints don’t have to limit your impact. They can force smarter, leaner, more effective marketing.
One day, I hope to stop posting news about pixel lawsuits. But that day is not today.
LCMC Health has agreed to settle a lawsuit over the use of Meta Pixel and other tracking tools on its website and patient portal. The suit claimed these technologies transmitted sensitive patient data, including page visits, button clicks, and even information typed into the portal, to Facebook, Google, and others without consent.
As part of the settlement, affected patients can claim $15 in cash and will receive a one-year membership to Cyex Privacy Shield Pro. LCMC also agreed to stop using certain tracking technologies on its website and portal for the next two years.
