Hey there,

My wife and I took our son to one of our favorite fall festivals last weekend. It's at a small apple orchard about 30 minutes from our house.

 

It's got everything a proper fall festival should: a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a hayride, apple cider donuts, the whole deal.

 

But my favorite part? A new variety of apple they grew this year: Ludacrisp.

 

I'll say that again for the people in the back: Ludacrisp.

 

It's like they were growing apples specifically for millennials. A truly perfect name. 10/10. No notes.

The New News: ChatEHR

Stanford Health Care just launched ChatEHR, a generative AI platform embedded directly in Epic that lets clinicians “chat” with a patient’s chart in real time.

 

The system runs entirely inside Stanford’s firewall, combining FHIR-based data access, a self-hosted LLM router, and tight EHR integration to keep PHI secure while delivering instant, context-aware insights.

 

It’s not marketing-specific, but it’s a powerful reminder that healthcare organizations can do big, innovative things with PHI—when privacy is part of the foundation.
